Harrison, AR (July 2025)— The Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District (NWAEDD) is pleased to announce that it assisted the Boone County Sheriff’s Department in successfully securing a $75,000 grant from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety. The grant funded the purchase of a 2025 Dodge Durango Pursuit patrol vehicle, including a complete upfit package and an M500 in-car video system.

“We’re grateful to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety for this critical funding and to NWAEDD for their support throughout the grant process,” said Sheriff Roy Martin of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department. “This new patrol vehicle will help our deputies respond more efficiently and safely, ensuring we continue to provide the highest level of service to the people of Boone County.”

“NWAEDD is proud to support our local law enforcement agencies in accessing the resources they need to serve their communities effectively,” said Jeremy Ragland, Deputy Director for NWAEDD. “We commend the Boone County Sheriff’s Department for their commitment to public safety and were honored to assist with the grant application process.”

By collaborating with local governments and agencies across the region, NWAEDD continues to fulfill its mission of fostering sustainable growth, safety, and quality of life in Northwest Arkansas. This successful grant is one example of how partnership and strategic planning can bring valuable resources into our rural communities.
