(Yellville, Arkansas) The Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District (NWAEDD), in partnership with the Delta Regional Authority (DRA), hosted a successful regional grant workshop this past April.
NWAEDD brought together community leaders from Baxter, Marion, and Searcy counties to learn more about the wide range of grant programs available through DRA. Education and outreach are foundational to the success of DRA’s programs, and it is our hope that training like this will equip local leaders with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to successfully pursue funding opportunities.
Participants received valuable information on DRA’s States’ Economic Development Assistance Program (SEDAP) and Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF), both of which support strategic investments in infrastructure and economic growth. Over the past decade, DRA has made significant investments in these three counties, awarding approximately $1.5 million in grants to help strengthen infrastructure and support job creation in distressed areas.
Special thanks to the Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center for providing a wonderful facility, and to our outstanding presenters, Ms. Darci Malam, Critical Infrastructure Program Manager, and LaKeldra Pride, Critical Infrastructure Program Associate, for sharing their expertise.
