Hours of Operation Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday   7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday  12 Noon - 5:00 p.m.
Types of Materials Accepted
  • Cardboard and Paper Products - including cardboard of every type,  newsprint, catalogs, phone books, and most paper products
  • Aluminum and steel cans
  • All metals, including copper, aluminum, brass and steel, radiators, scrap aluminum, scrap steel
  • Plastics - Bottles Only, including soda and milk jugs
  • Electronics - computers, TV's, monitors, stereos, speakers, microwaves, cameras    NOTE:  There is a $15 charge for computer monitors, TV's and microwaves - all other listed electronic items accepted free.
  • White Goods (washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers and other large appliances)  A fee of $9.10 is charged for each item.  Refrigerators and freezers may still contain Freon.
  • Bulky Goods (Furniture, sofas, mattresses, beds, etc.)  A fee of $9.10 is charged for each item.
  • Automotive batteries - both wet and dry batteries are accepted

  • Yard Waste - Tree and lawn clippings

  • Paint
Methods of Disposal
  • Citizens of Marion County can drop of recyclable materials during business hours, at no cost except where specified.
  • The Marion County Recycling Center operates a truck on a daily basis to pick up recyclable materials from area businesses.

Hours of Operation


Bull Shoals Recycling Center is a 24-hour, 365 days/year drop-off location. Containers for approved recyclables are located curbside outside the fence.

Materials Not Accepted        Until further notice, acceptable recyclables are reduced because of personnel limitations.
Methods of Disposal
  • On the last Tuesday of each month Bull Shoals solid waste contractor picks up approved recyclables in blue recycling bags available at City Hall (445-4775)
     
  • Citizens may deposit approved recyclables at the above address 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.
     
  • The Marion County Recycling Center operates a truck on a daily basis to pick up recyclable materials from area businesses.
