Types of
Materials Accepted
  • Cardboard and Paper Products - including cardboard of every type,  newsprint, catalogs, phone books, and most paper products
  • Aluminum and steel cans
  • Plastics (bottles only)
  • Container Glass - All colors
  • Electronics - computers, TV's, monitors, stereos, speakers, microwaves, cameras    NOTE:  There is a $12 charge for computer monitors, TV's and microwaves - all other listed electronic items accepted at no charge.  Wood encasements must be removed prior to drop-off.
  • White Goods (washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers and other large appliances) There is a $15 charge for Freon removal
  • Scrap steel
  • Waste motor oil
  • Waste cooking oil
  • Automotive anti-freeze
  • Household dry cell batteries
  • Yard Waste - Tree and lawn clippings
  • Household Hazardous Waste
  • Sharps (Used syringes and needles, etc.)
Materials
Not Accepted
  • Bulky Goods (Furniture, sofas, mattresses, beds, etc.)
  • Household Hazardous Waste
  • Batteries - Household, electronic and automotive batteries are not accepted
Methods
of  Disposal
  • Citizens of Carroll County can drop of recyclable materials during business hours, at no cost except where specified.   Visitors should put each type of material in the appropriate bin.

Facility is available for citizens to drop off recyclable materials at any time, 7 days a week.

Types of Materials Accepted
  • Cardboard and Paper Products - including cardboard of every type,  newsprint, catalogs, phone books, and most paper products
  • Container Glass
  • Plastics Bottle Only
Methods of Disposal
  • Acceptable materials must be separated and dropped into the appropriate bins.  Cardboard boxes should be broken down and flattened.

Facility is available for citizens to drop off recyclable materials at any time, 7 days a week.

  • Municipal Solid Waste - Bagged or otherwise
  • Class IV Construction and Demolition Debris
  • Waste tires - passenger car and light truck tires, 4 per person per visit, at no cost
  • Antifreeze
  • Electronics Waste - There is a $12 charge for televisions, computer monitors, and microwaves
  • Aluminum and steel cans, scrap metal
  • White goods - large appliances
  • Bulky wastes - furniture, etc.  There is a charge for bulky items based on size and weight
